Our little white Christmas tree is up. Actually it has been up since November complete with lights and decorations but I haven’t posted it until now. This humble tree is standing on top of a wooden table outside by the front window in our little porch/garage/laundry and wash area.
It was Cheep to put out the tree, which we used last year and mother and I did the rest; from putting it up to decorating it. It is a small tree as you can see, so it wasn’t a big trouble. Mother and I were just enjoying it. Since the tree stand was broke last year, I thought of putting it in my wooden flower vase. I had to put a lot of rocks in the vase to hold the tree up and still. We originally thought of just making the tree all white but mother and I ended up putting everything that was in the bag of Christmas decors and ornaments that we had been keeping for years now. Everything that we are using this year from the Christmas lights to the three and decorations are old and used. Still, it brings joy seeing these old Christmas goodies displayed.
The night came…and then the spirit of Christmas shone to its brightest in our old, rusty home.
We are the earliest in the neighborhood to have put up a spirit of Christmas this year but instead of being happy about it, it kinda’ made me feel sad for it is not like it here. Usually, our neighbors’ houses are lit up with all those extravagant Christmas lightss as early as October or November. Whether they are busy or having financial constraint, it should not hinder them to bring out the spirit of Christmas in their homes. They should find time as it won’t take so much time to hang a least a Christmas lantern. Unless, they are planning something big or a more extravagant display this year. If can’t buy a new tree or decoration, what are those old Christmas decors doing in the storage box? Bring those out and hang them up! A little Christmas ornament is enough symbol that you are meeting the Savior’s birth with joy in your heart.
